I suspect both teams will have their chances to win, just like the 4 previous games we have played. Whatever has happened previously in the season really doesn't matter. Trinity and SLC tend to bring out the best in each other.
I think in the end Trinity pulls away, maybe by as much as 20, but that in no way means it'll be easy.

In voting, I'll take ET by 3, but rather see SLC pull off the win.

SLC usually doesn't win the LOS against ET, but we usually are able to hold our own enough to force ET to drive the length of the field. They tend to get lots of yards between the 20's, but then have had some difficulty getting TD's and had to settle for FGs. Our defense this year is pretty young, but I would expect they will run a similar "bend don't break scheme" until ET gets to the red zone.

The Dragon offense will present some matchup problems for ET. Our top 3 RB's start with two playing slot receivers in our traditional spread. They can shift RB and slots interchangeably in a hurry up mode reducing the defense's ability to substitute freely. We will likely use the pass to spread out the ET defense and to open up some running lanes. If the game is close, and historically it is, SLC has an advantage in the kicking game.

Most of the state thinks ET will easily win this game, but since moving to the state's highest classification there have only been a handful of games that SLC has lost by more than 10 points. If it's a close game I think the advantage shifts to the Dragons, so I'm casting my "homer" vote for SLC by a FG.
