The Cooper Cougars and Lady Cougars were taking on the San Angelo Lake View Chiefs Friday night in District 4-5A play. The Cougars were able to pick up a 80-60 win. They are now 1-1 in district play. The Lady Cougars fell to the Lake View Maidens 64-53. They are now 0-4 in district play.
In the boys game, the Cougars were able to get an early lead when Elijah Johnson got his shot to go to put the Cougars up by two.
Later in the first quarter, Donovan Robinson went coast to coast for Cooper. He was able to get his lay-up to fall, and picked up the foul. After the made free-throw, the Cougars lead by 7.
Cooper would go on to win the game by 20, 80-60. They are now 1-1 in district play.
