Jones recorded 10 points, 11 rebounds and a school and American Southwest Conference record 11 blocked shots for the Cowboys. HSU had all five starters score in double figures.

Hopper led the way with 21, O'Neal and Barnes had 15 points each and Jack added 10 points and 17 rebounds to go along with Jones' triple-double.
