Wildcats Love New Look Scott Field

As far as stadiums are concerned, most of the talk at Abilene Christian University has been about the new football stadium the school is about to build on campus.

Baseball has something to brag about, too. Crutcher Scott Field got a face lift in the last couple of months.

Among the changes, they now have an artificial turf field.

That's a pretty big change, and the team is excited.

Head baseball coach Britt Bonneau said, "Yeah what a beautiful field. To think back in October when we were thinking about doing this, and then all of a sudden the ball got rolling. It's amazing what God has done for this university. There's no more late nights with us thinking that we need to put the tarp on. I don't have to watch the weather channel all the time anymore. We don't have to shovel the mud off the field in left center like where it used to stand. Everyday it's ready to play."

The Wildcats first game at the new look Scott Field is on February 19 against UT-Rio Grande Valley.
