The ACU women continue Southland Conference play on Wednesday night at Moody Coliseum.
Head coach Julie Goodenough and her girls bounced back from their only conference loss with a victory over Southeast Louisiana on Saturday.
It was the first real bit of adversity the Wildcats have had to put up with, so far this season.
They passed the test with flying colors.
Coach Julie Goodenough said, "We didn't have much time to pout about the loss. We had to get right back to it, and get ready to play a really talented Southeastern team at their place. I was just so proud of the way our players showed resielency, and they just really embraced the game plan and got after it on Saturday. So, really pleased with the way we bounced back after the loss."
Sydney Shelstead said, "Obviously it was kind of hard to lose, and it hit us hard. So, to bounce back with a win was even better. I think that's going to help us propel forwards, and hopefully that loss, we know how it feels and we never want it again."
The Wildcats get back on the floor on Wednesday night.
They host Sam Houston State at 7 p.m. at Moody Coliseum.
The Wildcats are 10-1 in conference play and undefeated at home.
