Bulldogs Remain Focused with One More District Game

The Wylie Bulldogs clinched the District 6-4A championship on Tuesday night with a victory over Mineral Wells.

Winning the title is one of the goals at the start of the season, but the season is still far from over.

Head coach Gregg Ruffin's team still has work to do, and they are ready to get to it.

Jeremy Ayers said, "Focus on the small things and keep playing hard and keep playing as a team, so I think we'll be pretty good for that. Practice like champions, just got to keep fighting."

Gregg Ruffin said, "Winning the district championship, obviously that was a goal that we set, but more importantly we wanted to go undefeated, so these guys want to do that. They want to make sure they win them all, so just having that as a goal makes them want to work hard and keep pushing."

The Bulldogs have one more game in the regular season before the playoffs start.

They play at Graham in the season finale next Tuesday.
