The Abilene High Eagles saw their 24-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night as they fell to Permian, 67-50, to close out the regular season. The Eagles will begin the playoffs next Tuesday.

The Permian Panthers came out firing early on in the game. Anthony Thomas got his shot to fall to put the Panthers up by two.

A bit later, Abilene High's Diamond Gary grabbed the rebound and got the putback to go, but the Eagles still trailed.

Later on, Anthony Thomas picked up a steal and got his close shot to fall. That extended the Permian lead to four.

Abilene High would go on to lose the game 67-50. The loss brings the Eagles' 24-game winning streak to an end.
