The Abilene High Eagles are getting ready to start the playoffs on Tuesday night.
The Eagles and head coach Don Heseman are the District 3-6A champions, but they had their 24-game winning streak snapped in the season finale.
We asked how the Eagles how hard it's going to be to overcome that season ending loss.
Coach Don Heseman said, "Instead of bringing us down, it ignited a fire in these kids, and it made them even more hungry than they already were. We talked about the feeling that it gave us, and how from now on they're in charge of that feeling."
Diamond Gary said, "We're not going to let up at all. Taking that L just makes us want to come back stronger and harder to show why were really district champs."
Abilene High is at home for its Bi-district championship game on Tuesday night.
They host Weatherford at Eagle Gym at 7:30 p.m.
