    AHS Eagles Aren't Done Yet

The Abilene High Eagles gave their fans a treat Tuesday night with a ten point victory over Weatherford, and that is the first playoff victory for the Eagles in Abilene since they went on to the state tournament back in 1978.

The Eagles are flying high right now with 25 wins in their last 26 games, but there is still work to be done.

"We're not done. We want to keep going. Our kids are hungry. They don't want to stop," head coach Don Heseman said. "They talk about the next level and the next step and the next step all the time, and coach Zonker and I have to continue to refocus them on focusing on one game at a time, but they're hungry, and they want to continue to push."

"We worked hard to get her, and it feels good winning both district and bi-district feels pretty good," senior Avery Griffith said. "It's really fun playing with this team, I mean we've been doing pretty good, and I'm happy to be a part of this team."

The Eagles continue their run in the class 6A playoffs on Friday night against Lubbock Coronado at Big Spring High School at 7 p.m.
