The Roby Lady Lions are heading to the State tournament after taking down the Eula Lady Pirates, 47-43, Saturday night in the Region II-A final.
The Lady Lions jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter when Isabel Carrion got the steal and finished it off with a lay-up.
In the second quarter, Eula's Hailey Thomas found Caylee Smith on the wing. Smith knocked down a three to bring Eula within one.
But the Lady Lions were too much in this game. Allison Reeves got the feed in the paint. She got her shot to go to extend Roby's lead.
The Lady Lions would go on to win this game 47-43. They are heading to the Class A State tournament.
