The ACU Wildcats still have a one game lead in the Southland Conference after their 80-70 win over New Orleans Saturday night.
The Cats have been busy over the last week, and there hasn't been a lot of time off, but exhaustion doesn't seem to be a problem when this team is on the court.
As they grind through every day practices and games, they're still able to come out each game and play with max effort.
"It's been a long nine days without a day off, and for our players to be able to play with the effort and intensity they did tonight was pretty impressive just the way they kept their composure, and were able to get stops when we needed to, and hit big time shots when we needed to," head coach Julie Goodenough said.
"I mean I think it's a very good thing for us," senior Suzzy Dimba said. "We've had a lot of experience winning in different situations, so we're able to learn from those, whether they were mistakes or good things that we did previously , we're able to use those in the future and see just how well we can play from our past experiences."
The Wildcats are back on the court Wednesday against Incarnate Word. That game will tip off at 7 p.m. at Moody Coliseum.
