Eagles Fall in Second Round of Playoffs

The Abilene High Eagles fell to Lubbock Coronado in the second round of the playoffs Friday night ending their season.

Early in the first quarter, Diamond Gary takes the ball into the paint and puts it up for the layup getting the Eagles on the board.

Coronado shot 70 percent in the first half, and Emoree Giddens contributed to that making the jumping layup from the block.

The Eagles tried to keep up in the first. Gary's pass to Austin Johnson down low for the bucket added to the points, but Coronado kept the lead.

Later on, two quick passes to Giddens who goes up for the dunk.

Abilene High's best season in 17 years comes to an end in Big Spring as they fall 89 to 65.
