Wylie Looks To Break Regional Barrier

The Wylie Bulldogs are headed back to the regional tournament.

The last two visits to Lubbock ended with the Bulldogs falling in the Region I finals.

This year, they are hoping to take of business and return to the state tournament for the first time in 2013.

Coach Gregg Ruffin said, "Well we've learned. Hopefully we've learned from that. We've got some players back that tasted that last year, and hopefully we're just better prepared to go and handle that. I think we're one of the top teams left, so we've just got to go play that way and take care of business."

Chris Henderson said, "Just got to keep playing. Just try to do what we can to get past that game. Just play every game like it's your last and just sell out every time."

Wylie takes on Lubbock Estacado in the second game of the night at 8:30 p.m. They meet at Lubbock Christian University.
