Roby hasn't been to the state tournament since back in 2009, and since then classes have come and gone, but this team has really come together and seen even some of the younger girls step up.
Baylor Johnson said, "All around our leadership is pretty good. I think Hallie, even though she's a freshman, she really stepped up, and she's a really big leader on the team."
Isabel Carrion said, "We had a lot of young people that step up when they need to be stepped up, so that's a big leadership part for them, and our seniors, we try our best to lead the team because that's our job, and I think we're just all leaders in general, on the court and off the court."
Shannon Fisher said, "This team has grown in leadership, from the beginning of the season until now. Number 32, Isabel Carrion, she's an outstanding leader on the floor, and the other ones, they follow it along. I think they understand what's at stake, and what needed to take place, and what needed to get done. They've all bought in. The girls are there to follow and see how far we can get."
Roby's set to take on Lipan in San Antonio at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
