It may have been super Tuesday, but it was also the third round of the boys high school basketball playoffs.
Several big country schools played tonight including Jim Ned and Colorado City. Jim Ned was in Bronte taking on San Angelo TLCA.
In the first quarter TLCA led 16-10 when the Indians tried to get something to happen, and Shea Easterling ends up with the rock under the basket and makes the layup.
Jim Ned again in the second quarter trying to close the gap. Andrew Peter hits the straight away three-pointer to cut the TLCA lead to six.
In the same quarter, Jim Ned trailed by 12, and they work the ball around to find Easterling again in the paint for the bucket, but it wouldn't be enough.
TLCA came away with the 52-46 victory.
Over at McMurry Colorado City and Wall facing off in a back and forth game.
Colorado City stayed with Wall in the first quarter as Andrew Burrola passes the ball to Mark Munoz who bounces off the post for the shot.
Later on, Kwentin Malveaux puts up the shot, follows it, and gets his own rebound to put up the one that finally falls.
Wall did go on a little bit of a roll though. Ryan Walling gets the feed, drives in and underhand lobs the ball into the basket, and they wouldn't stop there as the Hawks move on to the regional tournament with the 33-32 nail biter victory.
