Pressure Increases For Wylie In Playoffs

The Wylie Bulldogs continue to show why they are a favorite to come out of Region I and move on to the state tournament next week.

The Bulldogs won their first two playoffs games by an average of 43 points.

We are to the one-and-done part of the season. That's life in the playoffs.

Head coach Gregg Ruffin's team says that adds to the anxiety of the postseason.

Gregg Ruffin said, "Maybe a little more pressure at certain times just because, in district games, if you lose you may not be going home, but in a playoff game, if you don't execute, if you don't do the little things right, and you come out on the wrong end and lose, well then you're done, so there's a little added pressure to there."

Casey Jeter said, "There's obviously going to be more pressure, but it's a good pressure. It's fun to play with. These games are all exciting. It'll get harder, but it's still fun, it's the game of basketball."

The Bulldogs continue their run in the Class 4A playoffs on Tuesday night in Glen Rose. They are set to meet Decatur at 7 p.m.
