Spring practice continues for the ACU football team up on the hill, and the search for some new defensive starters is underway.
The Wildcats lost several key starters, including long-time starters Lynn Grady and Travis Tarver.
Head coach Ken Collums believes he has the guys in place to take over, but the proof is in how they do against live competition.
Collums said, "I'm always a little bit reserved to talk about guys before they've done anything. I want to see what they look like. I know physically all those guys look better. I want to see them run around. I want to see them get people on the ground. We've got some really good running backs for those guys to tackle this spring. So, I'm going to reserve my comments a little bit until we get into spring a little bit, and then I'll tell you who's having a productive spring, and who's approach is like it should be."
The Wildcats practice one final time before Spring Break on Thursday. Practice resumes on March 22nd.
