Wylie fell to the Cooper Cougars 2-1 at Cooper High School.
Both teams scored runs early in the game with Cooper getting on the board first.
Chelsea Chavez blooped one into center, and it turned into a sacrifice fly as Keely Gillit tagged up to give the Lady Cougars a 1-0 lead.
Shortly after, Camille Scott drilled a ground ball through the infield scoring Krista Howard, and that run put Cooper up by two.
Wylie had an answer in the second inning when Macy Goodenough popped up, but it fell in shallow left field. Cooper tried for a play at the plate, but Kamwren Jackson scored standing up giving the Lady Bulldogs their only run.
There was not a lot of offense the rest of the game as the score held at 2-1.
