The ACU women will take on UTEP tonight for their first appearance in the WNIT.
ACU found out Monday night that they would be playing on the road for their first game, and head coach Julie Goodenough is prepared for their opponent and is not worried about playing on the road.
"The biggest thing I know about the Minors, they're very well coached. I've known Keitha for years," Goodenough said. "She does a great job there. She recruits really talented players and is able to put a really competitive team together year after year."
"Second thing is that they do a great job with their home crowd. They were undefeated at home this season, and a lot of that has to do with the big fan support that they have there, so I know El Paso sounds like it's way out in the middle of nowhere, but relatively speaking, it's closer than the majority of our Southland Conference opponents."
The game will tip off tonight at 8:05.
