Eagles Fall to Midland Lee in District Home Opener

The Abilene High Eagles fell to Midland Lee in their home district opener on a gloomy Friday afternoon.

In the first inning, Garrett Chalker dribbles a slow roller to Tyler Baker, who makes a great play, fireing the ball to first for the out.

Baker made big plays from the mound as well. In the second inning he got Tialan Boza to stare at the called third strike.

Lee broke through in the third inning when John Wuthrich rips the ball into left scoring Hunter Colman putting the Rebels up by one.

In the same inning, Evan Mata gets a fly ball down the right field line that Andrew Tebow just can't make the play on, and Wuthrich scores.

Midland Lee finished this game winning five to one. Abilene High travels to Odessa on Tuesday.
