The Wylie Bulldogs are getting ready to start the games that count in District 6-4A on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs are the favorites headed into the season after going to the state tournament in 2015.
Most of that team is back this year, and just like every year that Clay Martin has been the head coach, improvement every time they take the field is the goal for the Wylie baseball team.
Clay Martin said, "I think the goal is the same as it always is, to get better as the weeks go along and at one point to be a good baseball team. I think we are building toward that, and I think we'll be there."
The Wylie Bulldogs start district play in Graham on Tuesday night. The first pitch is set to be thrown at 7:30pm.
