The Hardin Simmons Cowboys are fresh off their sweep of the McMurry War Hawks, and they are now 9-3 in American Southwest Conference play.

The Cowboys returned 23 players from last year's squad, and the comfortability is showing on the field.
Steve Coleman's group has won 13 of their last 14 games.
This team knows what to do when their name is called, and what it takes to win in the conference.
"Well I think just the maturity factor. Guys that have been in the battle, that have done it, that have a comfort level with the conference and the format and how we do things," head coach Steve Coleman said. "Then just them evolving as players and maturing into their roles and what they're capable of doing. Just a year older and wiser, and it's beginning to show up."
"I think it just brings a different level of maturity," senior Colson Craddick said. "We all know what needs to be done at that time, so I think just having that knowledge we know what needs to be accomplished."
The Cowboys are back in action Tuesday in a non-conference game against U-T Permian Basin.
