Inexperience No Problem for Bulldog Soccer Team

The Bulldogs are inexperienced with just one returner from last year's playoff team, but that hasn't been a problem so far this year.

It's been a great year from Chris Kincaid's Bulldogs, and everyone from freshman to senior has stepped up.

"We're pretty inexperienced. We've got a couple freshmen playing. Lots of sophomores, a couple juniors, not very many seniors, and that's kind of different this year, so we've had some really nice senior leadership," Kincaid said. "For the most part, their leadership has kind of taught the younger guys what it means to be part of Wylie program."

"This year it was a little different, but we still brought it together especially here at the end," senior Josiah Light said. "More of the seniors have been playing and stepping up into roles. Definitely a good influence on teaching the younger guys how to play, and hopefully being a good example for them also."

The Wylie boys will take the field in Midland after the girls' game, and it's going to be a tough one.

The Bulldogs will face the defending state champion, San Elizario in the Area Championship game.
