The ACU Wildcats were swept by the Lamar Cardinals on Saturday in a non-conference doubleheader.
In the fourth inning, Lamar led and was adding to it when Robin Adames sent one over the wall in left. The solo shot gave the Cardinals a 3-0 lead.
The Cats answered back in the bottom half of the inning. Russell Crippen liked the first homer and wanted one of his own. He got one and that put ACU on the board.
The ball was really flying at the Crutch today. In the fifth inning, one runner on when Jake Nash got a big rip to dead center, and it's another homer for Lamar. They now lead 5-1.
Later in the inning, luckily for ACU it's not another homer, but it's still a bases clearing triple by Jacoby Middleton, and Lamar takes an 8-1 lead.
ACU would try to battle back, but the damage had been done as Lamar took game one 8 to 5.
In the second game of the day, Lamar took it to the Wildcats a second time winning 16 to 6.
