The Abilene High Eagles were looking for some revenge this afternoon when they took on the San Angelo Central Bobcats at Blackburn Field.
Early in the first inning Sage Valenzuela looked good on the mound for the Eagles. He got Rance Rosas to chase the low ball for the strikeout.
Then in the second inning, there were runners on the corners when Dawson Daniel hit one to second, and the Eagles turned a nice double play, but not before Wesley Thompson touched home to take a 1-0 lead.
Later in the frame there was a runner on third when Tyler Baker took off to first on the dropped third strike and Jakson Talley read the throw to first and slid into home tying the game at one.
The Eagles woke up later in the game as they beat the Bobcats 7 to 6.
Next up is Odessa Permian on Tuesday.
