Bulldogs Remain Undefeated in District Play

The Wylie Bulldogs looked to remain undefeated in District play Saturday in their district contest against Mineral Wells.

Mother nature had her way Friday, which forced a number of teams to reschedule their games including the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs won in every phase of the game Saturday.

Connor Carlton got AJ Lentz to stare at the called third strike.

Then in the third inning the Bulldogs had their bats going. Now, the bags were juiced when John Paul Tople launches a big shot to the wall in left and two runs score. Wylie took a 2-0 lead.

Later in the frame, Bryce Gist hit a chopper up the middle which scored Tople, so the Bulldogs lead by four.

Still in the third inning, Wylie poured it on when Riley Hedge smashed a rip between second and short scoring two runs. Wylie now led 6-0.

Wylie added four more runs in the game as they run ruled the Rams 10-0.

The Bulldogs have outscored their four district opponents 41-2.
