PINEVILLE, La. - McMurry University's baseball team could muster just two unearned runs and lost the series finale to Louisiana College, 7-2, at Billy Allgood Field. The War Hawks (15-16) won two of three versus the Wildcats (8-20).

LC would lead wire-to-wire in the contest after posting three runs in the first inning off of McM starter Aaron Donald (1-2). Donald absorbed the loss after going 4.0 innings and giving up six hits, while also permitting four total runs (three earned). Tyler Jenkins went 2.0 innings, John Eric Cortez 1.0 innings and Ricky Lopez 1.0 innings in relief, with all three allowing one earned run apiece.

McMurry collected a total of five hits, all by three War Hawks. Outfielder Robert White - batting leadoff - went 2-for-4 and scored both of his team's runs. White also had his team's only extra-base hit, a two-out triple in the fifth inning.

Leftfielder Matt Chalk was 2-for-3 with a walk. Firstbaseman Chris Baker was 1-for-4 to account for the balance of the War Hawks' offense.

The Wildcats amassed 10 hits as a team.

McMurry will resume action on Friday at home versus the University of Texas-Dallas at Walt Driggers Field.
