Like the boys, the Lady Bulldogs are back in the class 4-A regional semifinals for the second year in a row.
The girls used a dominant performance on Monday to advance to the fourth round.
It's been a good run, but what's it going to take to get past this round and on to the regional finals?
"Something that Cordova, our coach, has been reiterating to us is just, survive and advance, so do what you need to do, execute on the field when it comes down to you," senior Morgan McAdams said. "Do your job when you're asked to, and all of us just working hard together."
"It's just exciting all the fundamentals faster than Melissa will, and then making sure we take away the strengths, and then I guess put our strengths in a position where they can shine. In a position where they can kind of put some damage on Melissa and get after them," head coach Manuel Cordova said.
The Lady Bulldogs get to work bright and early on Friday down in Kennedale against Melissa at 11.
