All of the rain is causing problems for several big country schools, and one of those schools is Cooper.
The Cougars' game with San Angelo Lake View has been moved for the second day in a row.
Baseball players, like other athletes, are creatures of habit and routine. When their routine is changed, it can be upsetting, but the Cougars say they have to just take it in stride.
"It's been a little frustrating, you know we didn't play very well last week, and we were ready to get back on the field so we could get back on track," head coach Cody Salyers said. "That kind of delayed a little of that, but we had some good practices and we were able to talk about a lot of the little mental things we need to work on, so I mean it gave us time to work on some of the things that maybe you don't on a normal basis."
"It's just kind of like a little break, kind of an unexpected break here in the middle of the season just allowing us to gather ourselves from not the best week that we had, and just prepare us mentally for what's to come the rest of the season," junior Brandon Miller said.
The Cougars and the Lake View Chiefs will try again Thursday down in San Angelo.
They will meet at 7 p.m. at Angelo State.
