The Abilene High Eagles were shutout by Midland High Friday 14-0. The loss drops the Eagles to 4-7 in District 3-6A play.
The Bulldogs took an early lead when Sam Bertelson blooped a single into left field. That brought home two runs, and Midland High took a 2-0 lead.
Later in the first inning, the Eagles got out of a jam when Jackson Thompson tagged the runner going to second, then fired over to first to complete the double play.
Midland High would go on to add another 12 runs, and they take it 14-0. The loss drops the Eagles to 4-7 in District 3-6A play.
