    Eagles Like Back-To-Back District Format

The Abilene High Eagles are in the midst of a 3-game losing streak right now.

Even with that streak, they are right in the thick of things as far as the playoffs are concerned, but they've got to put some wins together.

They have back-to-back games with Midland Lee and back-to-back games with Odessa High left on the schedule.

Back-to-back games in district, instead of the usual round robin schedule is new for District 3-6A this year, but Abilene High head coach Ryan Lewis is a fan.

Lewis said, "It's a good thing. You don't see somebody's ace everytime through the season. It's a different deal. It's kind of nice. I kind of like it, actually. We are planning on doing it next year with our next district with the Keller schools. It'll be good preparation for that."

The Eagles continue district on Wednesday at Blackburn Field against Midland Lee. They meet at Blackburn Field at 4:30 p.m.
