The Albany Lions beat the 15th ranked Hawley Bearcats, 8-6, this evening. The win moves the Lions into sole possession of first place in District 8-2A.
The Bearcats jumped on the board first when Vince Cruz scored on a sacrifice fly in the 1st inning. That put the Bearcats up 1-0.
In the third inning, the Bearcats were threatening for more runs, but the Lions were able to turn a double play to end the inning.
This game needed extra innings to resolve it, but in the end, it's the Albany Lions getting the win in the 8th inning. They take it 8-6.
