ACU Baseball Game vs. Tech Moved

ABILENE - Tuesday night's scheduled college baseball game between ACU and Texas Tech at Crutcher Scott Field has been moved to better accommodate both teams.

Instead of playing Tuesday in Abilene, the teams will push that game to Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Abilene at Crutcher Scott Field. The Wildcats and Red Raiders are still scheduled to play Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Security Bank Ballpark in Midland.

The Wildcats are 13-24 overall and 5-13 in Southland Conference play after suffering a sweep last weekend at the hands of the Bearkats of Sam Houston State. ACU lost games by the scores of 6-3, 3-1 and 2-1 (13 innings) in the series loss.

The Red Raiders, meanwhile, are 31-12 overall and 12-3 in the Big 12, although they lost 2 of 3 games against Texas at home last weekend, including a 17-1 decision Sunday in Lubbock.

After Wednesday night's game against the Red Raiders in Midland, the Wildcats will return to Southland Conference action when they host Stephen F. Austin in a three-game series this weekend at Crutcher Scott Field. The first game is set for a 6 p.m. start Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. start Saturday and a 1 p.m. start Sunday.
