The Cowboys started out the second round of the NFL Draft with the 34th overall pick, and they selected Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith.
Smith is coming off a knee injury that could keep him off the field until the 2017 season.
The injury occurred on New Years Day against Ohio State. Smith tore his left ACL and LCL.
Most believe Smith would have been a top 10 pick if he had remained healthy.
