The Dallas Cowboys worked on offense and defense with their four picks in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft.
For the 189th overall pick they chose Purdue cornerback Anthony Brown. The Cowboys seem to be working on their secondary with the pick.
Brown had 59 tackles his senior year.
At the 212th pick Dallas stayed with defense and selected Central Michigan safety Kavon Frazier. Frazier led the team wit h108 tackles last season, 4.5 for loss.
With the 216th overall pick the Cowboys chose another running back, Eastern Michigan's Darius Jackson.
Jackson stood out during his NFL Pro Day with a 4.35 40-yard dash and 41-inch vertical. In 2015 he set the school's single-season record with 16 touchdowns, and he had 1,089 rushing yards.
Finally in the sixth round, the Cowboys selected Baylor tight end Rico Gathers at pick 217.
Gathers did not play collegiate football. Instead he played basketball for the Baylor Bears, but his natural athleticism seemed to strike a cord with the Cowboys who could see him as a tight end.
