The Clyde softball team is still alive in the playoffs after winning their bi-district series.
Now the ladies are looking toward the area round where they will play the Coahoma Lady Bulldogs.
Coahoma is one of those programs from region one that is always a threat, but the Clyde girls are not as concerned with the opponent as they are with making themselves better.
"We're focusing on playing together and practicing and finding little things that we can do with each other to keep the game fun, but also refocus us at the same time, and I think that will help us in this next round," junior Rachel Dugan said.
"We got to scout them a little bit, and they're a solid little team," head coach Erica Jones said of Coahoma. "I think we're mentally prepping ourselves to play our game, so it's not really about the other team right now."
Clyde and Coahoma meet in Hermleigh starting Friday night..
Game one is at 6 p.m., and the series continues on Saturday at noon.
