The Cooper Cougars won the first game of their series with Dumas, 3-1. Game two will be Saturday at 4:00 in Lubbock.
Caleb Freeman was dominant on the mound for Cooper. He threw a complete game, with 11 strikeouts in the win.
Garrett Hurst knocked in all three runs, first with an RBI single in the 2nd, then a 2 RBI double in the 4th.
Cooper would take the game 3-1. The Cougars will go for the sweep tomorrow at 4:00. If a third game is needed, it will be after game two.
