The Wylie Bulldogs are moving on to the Area round of the playoffs after whipping Wichita Falls Hirschi, 23-0.
The Bulldogs started fast with four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and they pulled away from there.
Wylie scored thirteen more runs in the third inning expanded that lead to 17-0, and they kept pouring it on in the fourth inning with six more runs.
In all, Wylie pounded out 22 hits in just four innings, and the Huskies commited six errors.
Wylie pitchers were sharp again today at Bulldog Field. Mac Mueller and company pitched a shut out and allowed just three hits.
Wylie meets the winner of the Venus/Springtown series next week.
