    Bulldogs Pleased w/Dominant Performance

The Wylie Bulldogs are still alive inthe Class 4A playoffs after a dominating victory over Wichita Falls Hirschi.

The offense piled on 23 runs in four innings, and starting pitcher Mac Mueller and the bullpen held the Huskies scoreless.

So, here's the question. Is it better to whip a team to start the playoffs, or would it be better to be challenged a little bit?

Coach Clay Martin said, "Oh it doesn't matter. We're just prepared and worried about ourselves. and performing to the very best of our availability. So, I think we did a good job on Friday being ready for the situation, and just played a good baseball game."

Riley Hedge said, "I mean a win is a win really to us. As long as we're moving on to the next round we don't really care. We learned that the whole team can participate. It's not always that the entire team is going to get an at bat, and when we perform as well as we do and everybody gets to play, it shows a lot about how good we are."

The Bulldogs are expecting a tougher challenge for the Area Championship this weekend.

They face Venus starting on Friday at 7 p.m.

Game 2 of the series is Saturday at 1 p.m.

All of the games are going to be played in Henrietta.
