Lady Bulldogs Focus on One Pitch at a Time

The Clyde Lady Bulldogs stayed alive last weekend by out-slugging Coahoma in the area round of the playoffs.

Now they turn their attention to the Bangs Lady Dragons.

The Lady Bulldogs are rolling with 42 runs in three playoff games, and head coach Erica Jones says the team is succeeding because they keep their mind on the present rather than looking ahead.

"We've actually just had a group discussion about being in the now, every pitch, every play, and not worrying about outcomes," Jones said. "Worrying about just being the best players they can possibly be every pitch."

"Be aggressive but always have fun, play your game and not worry too much about the after, but worry about the now," junior Rachel Dugan said.

There is no looking ahead for the Lady Bulldogs this week.

Clyde takes on Bangs in a one game playoff at ACU on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
