The HSU Cowboys fell in game one of the ASC Championship series, 16-2, to UT-Tyler. Game two will be Saturday at 1:00.
The Patriots took an early lead when Sam Lane's hit brought Blake Wilson. That gave UT-Tyler a 1-0 lead.
The Patriots led 3-0 in the fourth, but HSU got two runs home thanks to a clutch hit by Colton Pea****. That made it a 3-2 game.
UT-Tyler would go on to win the game 16-2. Game two of the series will be played Saturday at 1:00 at Hunter Field.
