At Wells Field on Friday, Early and Colorado City started their series.
In the second inning, Colorado City added to their lead when Alexis Munoz knocked a routine grounder to third. An error by Early led to a Colorado run, so they led 2-0.
In the same inning Chloe Castillo smacked a line drive to shallow center scoring Ramsey Alvarez and Baylie Lindsey.
The Lady Wolves lead 5-0.
Colorado City took control of the series with a 10-run victory over Early.
Game two of this series is Saturday at 11 a.m. back at ACU.
