The Cooper Cougars are ready to continue their best run in the playoffs since 2010 after rolling over El Paso Jefferson last week.
The Cougars were struggling at one point in the season with a 14-10 record, but that seems like a lifetime, ago.
Head coach Cody Salyers team is riding a seven-game winning streak and having a blast in the mean time.
Coach Cody Salyers said, "Oh yeah of course it's fun whenever you get this far into it. This is what you practice for for an entire year is to get to this time of year. I think we're hitting our stride right now, which is a good thing. We didn't peak to early, so hopefully everything kind of clicks all at the last minute right now."
Will Murray said, "Well we've been hitting the ball really good as of late. If we can just keep hitting the ball like we know how to, and keep hitting the ball putting it in play like we're supposed to then I think we can be one of the hardest teams to beat in the state of Texas."
The Cougars continue the playoffs on Friday in Wichita Falls against number nine Canyon.
Game 1 is at 5 p.m.
The series continues on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Wichita Falls.
