The Cooper Cougars finished their spring football practice with the red/blue scrimmage over at Shotwell Stadium Thursday evening.
The Cougars are heading into the 2016 season loaded with returning starters.
Seven offensive and eight defensive players are back, and the kicker returns.
Friday's scrimmage was missing several players that are busy helping the baseball team in the class 5A playoffs, but head coach Todd Moebes said his team got a lot accomplished over the last three weeks.
Cooper gets back to work the second Monday in August, and the season starts on August 26 at Shotwell Stadium against Keller.
