    Canyon Eliminates Cougars From Playoffs

Cooper was trying to rebound from their loss to Canyon on Friday afternoon.

They were in Wichita Falls earlier Saturday morning trying to fight to force a game three.

In the bottom of the first, Cole Mason delivered a base hit up the middle scoring Kason Haggard and Reese Patterson.

    Canyon led 2-0.

Later Cooper was trying to end the threat when Garrett Hurst gunned down the would-be base stealer at second ending the inning.

In the top of the second, Hurst was at the plate, and he delivered a base hit to left field that would load the bases for the Cougs.

Then it was Ender Freeman giving Cooper some hope with a line drive to right that burned the right fielder.

Both Zach Goodson and Will Murray came home to tie the game at two.

However, Canyon would pull away from the Cougs in a big way completing the sweep with a 7-2 win and ending the Cougars' season.
