Stamford Takes Game One Over Albany

The Stamford Bulldogs are one win away from the State Tournament after beating Albany in the opening game of their playoff series. The Bulldogs came from behind to win the game 4-3.

Albany took an early lead thanks to Drew Neece. The senior hit a 2 RBI single in the first inning to put the Lions up 2-0.

After that, Stamford pitcher Ligon West settled down, and got Michael Cotter to go down swinging to end the first.

In the sixth inning, the Bulldogs made their rally, scoring three runs in the inning to take a 4-3 lead.

Stamford would hang on there to take it 4-3. Game two of the series will be Thursday at 1:00 at ACU.
