Stamford Practicing Early for 9am Start

The Stamford Bulldogs are making their fifth state appearance in the last seven years after sweeping Albany in the regional finals.

It will be an early start for the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

They take on Beckville at nine in the morning at Dell Diamond.

To get ready for the 9am start, the Bulldogs are hitting the practice field early.

They're were out there at about 10:30 this morning.

They feel like getting an early start to the day will help them out.

Coach Jeremy West said, "Well we just like to get up and get out of bed at this point. We're out of school, and we like to get these guys up. We're going to play the 9:00 game. You just get kind of used to that down there. It doesn't matter what sport you make it in in 2A. You get down there and you're going to get the early morning game. It was the same way at AT&T in football, and our guys have done that. Volleyball, softball, it's the same way. Basketball you get down there, and you're going to get the early morning game. So, we're just getting them up and around this morning."

That 9am start will be here before you know it.

The Bulldogs are taking on number one Beckville.

That will be played Wednesday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
