It's 7-on-7 time across the state, and Abilene held their state qualifying tournament Friday.
The Abilene High Eagles have already booked their ticket to state, and Cooper was trying to join them.
They took on White Settlement Brewer.
Early on, Cooper had their offense rolling. Ender freeman looked to the endzone and finds Myller Royals for the touchdown.
The scoring would continue when Freeman again surveyed the field and connected with Issac Hatter. That's another touchdown for the Cougs.
Freeman was having a day. In the second half he once again hooked up with Hatter on the far side for the score.
Then one more score for good measure. Freeman threw it up for Myller who made the grab with the defenders all over him. He is expected to have a great season for the Cougs.
Cooper is heading to College Station as they take down the Bears 47-31.
