    Eagles Building Chemistry Through 7-on-7

The 7-on-7 season is in full swing, and already both Abilene High and Cooper have qualified for the state tournament in July.

Let's start first with the Eagles. Quarterback Peyton Killam is entering his second season as the signal caller for the Eagles.

At this point the game has slowed down for Killam, and he now has a great handle on the playbook.

One thing that will be a challenge for the rising senior though will be building chemistry with some of the new receivers, but these games are the perfect way to do that.

Peyton Killam said, "Yeah it's all about building chemistry. We're coming out here and working hard, working hard all summer trying to get better as a team, and build relationships and just come out here and work hard. The game's a lot slower, and I'm really coming out here to help all these other guys out so we can get ready for the season so they can know their jobs and what they need to do on certain plays. So, we're just trying to come out here and build chemistry and get better."

The state tournament will be July 7th through the 9th in College Station.
