Texas Tech has the day off today and they are using it to their advantage.
Not only do they have time to relax after opening ceremonies, but they also get a chance to watch the game they are always playing.
Tyler Floyd said, "I'm glad we're playing on Sunday so we have a day in between all the opening ceremonies and stuff and when we actually have to play because that stuff can be a distraction. Kind of everyone's in your face all the time when you're there."
Head coach, Time Tadlock, believes you can learn a lot from watching the game and his team will be able to learn about the field from watching other teams play.
"I think to go watch a game in the ballpark you're going to play in. I mean I think it could just be a simple deal as the wind blowing or the infield being hard or the infield being soft or the grass being tall or a mistake somebody else makes. I think any time you get to visually watch something at a high level, you have a chance to learn something, so absolutely it should help," said Tadlock.
